Strong colour alone does not define spice quality. Evaluate uniformity, natural aroma, moisture, foreign matter, density where relevant and the condition of both the product and packing.

Whole, cut and ground forms may require different acceptance points. For ground products, the test method and application-specific microbiological scope can be as important as the visual sample.

Turn the evaluation into measurable order language. A retained sample, recorded tolerances and clear batch identification make the next delivery easier to assess on the same basis.
